H&M - Hull & Machinery

This type of marine insurance is covering physical damages to the vessel, caused by a peril of the sea or other covered perils, while the vessel is in transit. Such perils are grounding, fire and explosion, earthquakes, as well as general perils of the ocean, sea, river or lake. The cover also protects the Owner against loss or damage to the vessel caused by accidents like cargo shifting, damage to the machinery or a boiler burst. Negligence by the crew or a shore repair team is also covered.

There are some possible H&M cover extensions, like: collision liability (RDC clause), fixed and floating objects (FFO clause), sue and labour expenses, salvage costs, war risk, loss of hire, piracy, general average (GA) costs and others.

Main marine H&M insurance clauses are: ITC-H 1/10/83, ITC-H 1/11/95, American ITC, Nordic plan.

We can offer you H&M cover from the Bulgarian marine insurance market.
